A | (ECNS) -- Chinese Olympic snowboarding champion Su Yiming has been named the Sport4Land Champion for Resilience by the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) on Wednesday. Su will promote public participation in land restoration, drought resilience and sustainable land management. "The mountains gave me the opportunity to pursue my dreams. Protecting nature means preserving the same opportunities for future generations," he said. At 22, Su is one of the world’s top snowboarders, winning gold and silver at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and adding gold and bronze at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games. He also founded the Super Sports Foundation to support grassroots sports. His appointment comes ahead of UNCCD COP17 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Aug. 17–28. (By Helen Mo, intern Liu Shuangjing)

B | 今年第12号台风“梅花”（强台风级）13日14时中心距离浙江省象山县南偏东方向约425公里，中心附近最大风力14级，中心气压955百帕。预计，“梅花”将以每小时10～15公里的速度向偏北转西北方向移动，逐渐向浙江温岭到舟山一带沿海靠近，并将于14日下午至夜间在上述沿海地区登陆（台风级或强台风级）；登陆后，“梅花”将继续向西北方向移动，强度逐渐减弱，中心可能于16日进入山东省。
C | 山东省气象台于9月13日15时30分发布台风蓝色预警并继续发布海上大风黄色预警：受“梅花”外围及本体影响，13日夜间到14日白天，东北风，黄海中部7～8级阵风9级，渤海、渤海海峡和黄海北部6～7级阵风8级14日下午增强到7～8级阵风9级；14日夜间到15日夜间，黄海中部和北部东北风转东南风7～8级阵风9级，渤海和渤海海峡东北风7～8级阵风9级；14日白天到15日夜间，半岛和鲁南地区东北风5～6级阵风7～8级，其他地区东北风4～5级阵风6级。预计14日白天到16日，我省大部地区有明显降雨。全省累积平均降水量40～60毫米，其中，青岛、烟台、威海、日照、东营、淄博、潍坊和临沂50～100毫米局部150毫米以上；滨州、济南、泰安、济宁和枣庄20～40毫米局部50毫米以上；其他地区5～15毫米。最大小时降水量30～50毫米。气象部门将严密监视天气变化，加强跟踪研判，及时滚动发布预报预警信息。
